1964 Fairlane on the Nurburgring

Imagine taking your race prepared 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 to the Nurburgring and just absolutely ringing it out.  Its been done. Check out the Youtube video here. It clocks over 260KM down the straights. The noise is phenomenal. I like the big 60's steering wheel as well.

Anyone who has taken a four speed V8 along a road with that sort of scenery flashing past, and that noise, never forgets it.

This website is in German, but the car was prepared by Holman Moody for European racing.  Probably the same as our historic touring cars.
